Renewals

LICENSE DEFINED UNDER TITLE 32:1254.

A license renewal application packet is emailed to the contact on file with the LMVC at least 60 days prior to the expiration of the license. If you prefer to receive the packet by mail or wish to pick it up in person, please notify LMVC staff. The license type and the business’s location determine the deadline for submitting the renewal application and whether late filing fees will apply.”  The completed application, payment, and all supporting documentation must be received by this office prior to the license expiration date. Any application postmarked after the expiration date will incur a late filing fee in addition to the annual renewal fee. Furthermore, if an application is submitted but is incomplete and cannot be issued, or if additional information is required to process the application, late filing fees may also apply if the necessary documentation is not postmarked by the expiration date. This requirement does not apply to  Sales Finance   Vehicle Protection Product Warrantor licenses.” 

LICENSE DEFINED UNDER TITLE 46.PART V. SUBPART 3. MOTOR VEHICLE SALES FINANCE

Motor Vehicle Sales Finance Renewal license application must be submitted by November 1 accompanied by the required renewal fee. Any renewal application postmarked after December 1 must include a late filing fee in addition to the annual renewal fee. Furthermore, if an application is received on or before December 1, but is incomplete or requires additional information to be processed, the late filing fee may apply.

The following changes CANNOT be made during the renewal process; therefore, if you are planning to make or have already made these changes, please contact us immediately for instructions. Additional forms and fees could be required.

  • Change in location
  • Change in corporate ownership or majority ownership
  • Change in the name of the licensee, including company, corporate, etc. or DBA
  • Added or going to add a new product or product line
